Striking is a term used in Mixed Martial Arts to describe a technique. Striking is often associated with wrestling, boxing, and Muay Thai, and putting the opponent into submission. To successfully win the match, the player has to master every movement that could lead to a bigger technique. It’s not enough if the player knows how to punch, kick, or strike, yet he has to know the extension of these basic technique has to offer. Perhaps the quickest strike is the jab, where the player has to execute the straight punch with his lead hand. This can be quickly used as a counter to distract the opponent’s rhythm.

The Overhand Strike

The Overhead Strike is one of the most popular techniques in the Mixed Martial Arts, where the player has to throw a looping punch, which is quite similar to a baseball pitch. At the same time, it includes the strike using the foot. Overhand Strike is being utilized for many significant reasons, such as the gloves usage and the player’s positioning. If the Overhand Strike can be executed properly, the lead hand could land against his opponent using his head-off line. This would make the overhand strike more characteristic and realistic to the Mixed Martial Artists, which led some UFC Champions to victory.

He must prepare his kicking leg while turning his hip to exert and convert maximum effort and forced into a strike. This is also likened to a baseball bat, where the player has to whip the opponent in a snapping motion. The Round Kick can be divided into three levels: low, middle, and high. Each of them has a specific distance to work on, but it’s better to use the low kick because it causes minimum errors.
