Catchweight Bout is a fight wherein fighters come with pre-determined weight limit that are outside the parameters of normal weight class. This is also used to classify a fight wherein one or both fighters will not be able to make weight, but has been decided beforehand to push through at a new weight. This kind of fight does not take place if there are no pre-determine weights decided. So if a fight continues even when one fighter does not make weight, it is not a catchweight bout unless there is a weight limit determined beforehand.
