Josh Koscheck is a professional mixed martial artist born on November 30, 1977. He is an American who is currently signed under Bellator and competing in the welterweight division. Since his start in mixed martial arts in 2005, the talented fighter had fought in more than 25 organizations including the UFC, wherein he was part of the first season of the reality hit, The Ultimate Fighter.
Koscheck began his interest in combat sports at the early age of 5. He was already wrestling at that time. He became a collegiate wrestler with an athletic scholarship during his time at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. During his time in college, he became a 3-time NCAA Division 1 champion, a 2-time recipient of the Eastern Wrestling League and a 3-time PSAC Wrestler of the Year recipient. After earning a degree in criminal justice in the said university, Koscheck spent some time as a coach in wrestling at the University of Buffalo. He then made his professional debut in mixed martial arts in 2004 when he was 27 years old.
