Career

He made his professional MMA debut on March 07, 2009. It was against Mike Taylor for the SCF 2 – Supremacy Cage. It was a win for Hooker. A few months later, he went up against and lost to Adam Calver. In November of the same year, he faced Calver again and won.

Before the year ended, he won against Ken Yasuda. This win was followed by losses to Rob Lisita and Sonny Brown. He continued fighting professionally through to 2014. Some of his more notable opponents included Scott MacGregor, Rusty McBride, Nick Patterson, and more. He met up with McBride twice, winning twice as well.

He debuted in the UFC in 2014. It was a fight against Ian Entwistle. Until 2016, he won every other fight in the UFC. Some of his early UFC wins include his bouts against Hatsu Hioki and Mark Eddiva. He lost to Maximo Blanco, Jason Knight, and Yair Rodriguez.

After the fight with Knight, he set a record of four wins before he lost to Edson Barboza in December 2018. He fought twice in 2019, winning both.
