Career
He debuted as a professional MMA fighter in March 2009, going up against and beating Patric Mandio. Promotions he fought for before he was signed by the UFC include the Ultimate Event Promotions and CCCW.
He debuted in the UFC in January 2010. He lost his debut fight to Gerald Harris. A few months later, he bounced back and took down his opponent, Jason MacDonald, in a TKO. Unfortunately, this win was followed by a loss to Dan Miller in August 2010.
He parted ways with UFC began fighting for Strikeforce and other promotions. In 2015, he joined Bellator and his first fight was against Dustin Jacoby. Salter against Jacoby via submission.
He has had a pretty consistent fight schedule with Bellator and is considered one of their best fighters. His latest fight was a loss to Gegard Mousasi. It was held in August 2021. Salter lost to Mousasi via TKO.
