Igor Pokrajac is a professional mixed martial artist from Croatia. He currently competes in the light heavyweight division. He has competed for various promotions including K-1, KSW, Jungle Fight, and It’s Showtime. He currently competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Pokrajac started training for wrestling in 1999. In 2001, after helping out a friend during his first MMA fight, Igor got the sight of the professional MMA world for the first time and found satisfaction in it. During his early career, he was ranked at top 10 in the European circles. He has achieved a purple belt in BJJ from Mirkovic BJJ and won several awards in professional competition including Durata Grand Prix and belt of Durata Grand Prix.

Igor’s professional career started in Croatia in 2003. In fact, his professional career in Croatia gave him an impressive record of 21-5. In 2009, he was signed on with the Ultimate Fighting Championship. His debut fight was against Vladimir Matyushenko. Igor lost his debut fight via unanimous decision. His succeeding UFC fights were a mix of losses and victories, majority of which were losses. It was shortly after his loss from the UFC Fight Night 58 that Igor was released from the promotion. This did not deter Igor as his professional career continued in Croatia after joining the Final Fight Championships. When Igor won three consecutive bouts with first round stoppages, he was signed back into the UFC.
