Career

Strickland turned pro in 2008. His first professional MMA fight was against Tyler Pottett. It was held in March of that year and it was his first professional win and was for King of the Cage.

He continued fighting for KOTC through 2013, going undefeated. Some of the opponents he took down include Josh Bryant, Adriel Montes, and Matt Lagler. In March 2014, he joined the Ultimate Fighting Championship. His first opponent and first win in the UFC was Bubba McDaniel.

His first UFC loss came in February 2015. It was against Santiago Ponzinibbio. Since his UFC debut through to his most recent fight in January 2023, Strickland has fought in the UFC. He defeated Nassourdine Imavov in the fight.

Some of his most notable wins include Brendan Allen, Nordine Taleb, and Jack Hermansson.
