Dustin Poirier or Dustin Glenn Poirier is a professional mixed martial artist born on January 19, 1989. He is an American currently signed under the Ultimate Fighting Championship and competing in the lightweight division. As of February 2016, the professional fighter is ranked tenth in his division by the UFC. He also holds the title of Thugjitsu Master and is considered by many as one of the best fighters training under the American Top Team.

Poirier made his professional debut in 2009, when he was 20 years old. During that time, he compiled an impressive mixed martial arts record of 7-0 before signing under the World Extreme Cagefighting in mid of 2010. By October of that same year, he became part of the UFC because of the merger of WEC and UFC.
