Marcin Held is a Polish professional fighter born on January 18, 1992. He is currently signed under Bellator and is competing in the lightweight division. He has been a professional mixed martial artist since 2008. Most of his fights are in Poland and he is regarded by many as the, “Prodigy of Polish Mixed Martial Arts”.

The Polish fighter was exposed to combat sports at a young age. When he was nine years old, he already began training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and received his black belt when he was 21. He is said to be the youngest fighter in his home country to get a black belt in the said martial art and was also known for winning several grappling and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitions.

Held began his mixed martial arts career in 2008. He had a 3-0 record before signing up under Shooto Poland. It was only in 2011 when he joined Bellator. Some of his accomplishments in mixed martial arts include being the winner of the MMA Challengers 2 Lightweight Tournament and Bellator Season 10 Lightweight Tournament. He was also the runner-up of the Bellator Season 7 Lightweight Tournament. In addition, Held also earned several accomplishments in submission grappling including bronze and gold medals during the 2010 and 2011 ADCC Submission Wrestling Polish Championships. He also has silver and gold medals during the 2010 and 2011 FILA Grappling World Championships and FILA Grappling European Championship Senior No-Gi.

In terms of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitions, the 5-foot 9-inch tall fighter boasts a gold medal in the 2010 IBJJF European Open Jiu-Jitsu Championships Purple Belt.

Since 2008, Held amassed a mixed martial arts record of 26 fights with 22 wins and 4 losses.
