Pedro Rizzo
Pedro Rizzo a former champion of the World Vale Tudo in the Heavyweight division as well as a heavyweight contender for the UFC championship belt. He was an IFA Heavyweight Champion under the Art of War Undisputed Arena Fighting Championship and was awarded Fight of the Year in 2001 by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter in a fight against legendary Randy Couture.
This retired professional mixed martial arts fighter was born on May 3, 1974 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is a Brazilian who is also a Muay Thai fighter and competed in several promotions including Affliction, M-1 Global, PRIDE and the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
Rizzo was known as a striker during his active years in mixed martial arts. He started his career in 1996 and retired in 2015 with a record of 31 fights with 20 wins and 11 losses. He also comes with a kickboxing record includes 34 fights with 31 wins, 2 losses and 1 draw.
He is known as, “The Rock” in mixed martial arts. He stands 6 feet and 1 inch tall and comes with a 77-inch reach. For his fights, he uses the orthodox stance and uses mainly Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Luta Livre and Muay Thai. He trains with American Top Team and Black House and boasts of a 4th degree black belt in Luta Livre, a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and a black prajied in Muay Thai.
Before he retired, his last fight was with Andrew Flores in September of 2015. He won the fight via technical knockout during the Face to Face 12 event which happened in Vitoria Espirito Santo, Brazil.
