Pat Curran is a professional mixed martial artist currently signed under Bellator and fights in the featherweight division. The American fighter was born in August 31, 1987. He is related to veteran Jeff Curran who fights under the World Extreme Cagefighting. Before signing under Bellator, Curran fought under Xtreme Fighting Organization. This is where he had most of his fights. Under Bellator, he became the winner of the Bellator 2011 Summer Series and the Season Two Lightweight Tournament. He is currently ranked sixth in the world in his division by Sherdog and eight by Fightmatrix.com. He is also ranked second in his division outside of the UFC.

The professional fighter had been into combat sports when he was young. During high school, he enrolled at the Olympic Heights Community High School where he became a standout wrestler. He also trained in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with Jeff Curran when he was 17. By 2008, he made his mixed martial arts debut where he defeated Tony Hervey.

Curran is nicknamed, “Paddy Mike”. He stands 5 feet and 9 inches and comes with a 73-inch reach. He fights out of Crystal Lake, Illinois and trains with Team Curran. Some of his accomplishments in mixed martial arts include a 2-time featherweight championship title under Bellator, of which he defended twice; a Knockout of the Year by Inside Fights in 2012, and a 2011 All-Violence Second Team by Sherdog.

As of June 2015, Curran comes with a mixed martial arts record of 28 fights with 21 wins and 7 losses. His wins include 5 by knockout, 7 by submission and 9 by decision.
