Liam McGeary is an English professional mixed martial artist training under the Tenzo Renzo Gracie Association. He was born on October 4, 1982 and is currently competing at the Bellator’s Lightweight Division. McGeary is also a current Bellator Light Heavyweight Champion and ranks on the number 9th spot on the Light Heavyweight division in the world.

He began training in mixed martial arts in 2009 and was able to achieve an amateur record of 1-1 before he made his professional debut in the fighting scene in 2010.

His first fight was against Grzegorz Janus in the Battle of Jersey 2010 via an armbar submission. He also fought in the Island Rumble 3 and the ROC 41 and won against Shaun Lomas and Walter Howard, via submission and KO respectively.

His debut fight was against Anton Talamantes in the Bellator MMA last 2013 winning via TKO. He won the fight impressively with just 78 seconds on the clock of the first round.

Currently McGeary remains undefeated and triumphed against fighters in the Bellator including Beau Tribolet, Mojtaba Najim Wali, Mike Mucitelli, Egidijus Valavicius, Kelly Anundson and Emmanuel Newton. His second fight in the Bellator, the one against Tribolet lasted 27 seconds where he won via a knockout. His latest fight was against Titor Ortiz in the Bellator 142- Dynamite winning via an inverted triangle choke submission just a few seconds before round 1 was over.
