Career
Holloway turned pro in September 2010. His first promotion was X-1. Since becoming a professional, he has had 30 fights, winning 23. In July 2011, he joined the Ultimate Fighting Championship, winning against Eddie Rincon.
In 2012, he had four fights in the UFC. Holloway started the year with a loss to Dustin Poirier but he bounced back with a string of three wins. In May 2013 he lost to Dennis Bermudez and in August 2013, he lost to Conor McGregor.
Following those losses, he established a string of 13 wins, defeating fighters such as Jeremey Stephens, Anthony Pettis, and Ricardo Lamas. He also beat Jose Aldo twice. In April 2019, he had a rematch with Poirier, and he lost.
In December 2019, he lost to Alexander Volkanovski for the first time. The two would go up against each other two more times with Volkanovski winning every time. Their most recent meet-up was in July 2022.
