Ricardo Alejandro Lamas is born on May 21, 1982, hailing from Chicago Illinois. Also known as “The Bully”, current fights at the featherweight division of the UFC and trains at the local powerhouse MMA Masters in Florida. At present, he is on the top 4 spot of the featherweight rankings of the UFC and tanked number 3 in the featherweight division in the world.
Lamas have a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and owner of the MMA Masters Daniel Valverde.

He was a former member of the wrestling team in Elmhurst College and even earned All-American honors at the NCAA Division III Men’s Wrestling Championships at the 157 lbs. weight division. He was even named as the CCIW’s “Most Outstanding Wrestler” during the 2003 to 2004 season. He became an assistant coach to the wrestling team in Elmhurst after graduation.
His most significant time in the ISCF was after he defeated Cal Ferry via a guillotine choke leading to a submission earning him the ISCF North Central Regional Title in 2008. After a series of 6 straight wins, he lost against Danny Castillo at the WEC 42 in 2009. His debut fight in the UFC Live 4 was a success after defeating Matt Grice via TKO in 2011. He managed to score a fight against Jose Aldo but lost in the UFC 169 via unanimous decision. His latest fight was with Diego Sanchez last November 2015 at the UFC Fight Night 78 where he won via unanimous decision.
At present, he has a record of 20 fights with 16 wins and 4 losses.
