Paulie Malignaggi is set to fight Artem Lobov during the BKFC 6 and faced each other earlier today for a press conference. What resulted afterwards was madness. As the date for the match-up between Malignaggi and Lobov draws near, footage of a sparring session between Connor McGregor and Malignaggi has been leaked. The bad news is that during the boxing session, McGregor knocked down Malignaggi, a former world boxing champion, and this does not translate very well for Paulie.
Paulie on Leaked Footage
According to Paulie, the sparring session that was leaked does not portray the full story and that if the full clip was to be seen, it would have been a different story altogether. To be fair, this is true about many leaked “clips” on social media that does not tell the true and full story.
However, Lobov happens to be a good buddy of McGregor and is using this plot twist to leverage against Malignaggi. In turn, the leaked footage becomes fuel to the fire that is Malignaggi which ended in a spit towards Lobov.
In an interview with Lobov, he says that Malignaggi is a loser, spitting on other people’s work and showing displeasure on his behavior. According to Lobov, he cannot wait to put Malignaggi down in front of his fans.
Lobov Not Worried about Malignaggi Fight
There is a huge disparity between Malignaggi and Lobov in terms of accomplishment. While Malignaggi holds a pair of world boxing titles, Lobov is only an MMA fighter. But answering to questions during his interview, he says he is not concerned about this and that he is going to train hard so much so that Maglignaggi will not be able to surprise him.
