It’s almost a year now since Ronda Rousey has entered the Octagon and the news is abuzz with her possibly joining the WWE and with her husband Travis Browne to boot. While Rousey has not verified this news, neither has she denied it.

Rousey’s Future in the UFC?

It wasn’t a glorious way to end Ronda Rousey’s UFC career, after having been defeated by knockout 48 seconds into the fight by Amanda Nunes. After her loss, many were left wondering when the Rowdy Rousey will return to the Octagon. But it seems that a year is fast approaching and Rousey has yet to make an appearance in the Octagon nor has a fight been announced for her participation.

When Dana White was interviewed regarding Rousey’s return, White wouldn’t recommend it. According to him, there wouldn’t be anything for Rousey should she decide to go back to the UFC. For him, Rousey has the money to do anything that she wants and he fully supports it, aside from fighting back in the Octagon. It’s something he wouldn’t want to see according to the UFC president.

Rousey’s Increased Privacy after Nunes Loss

Before her upsetting defeat to Nunes, Rousey was one hot commodity for many brands and the media. You’d always see her in interviews, doing product promotions, or brand endorsements. After her loss to Nunes, it seemed Rousey wanted a bit more privacy in her life, except for a few interviews and appearances that the former UFC women’s champion has allowed.

This is why many were left speculating all over the media when Rousey appeared in the WWE last September 2017, and appears to be challenging one of the leading women’s wrestler in the WWE, Charlotte Flair. Rousey issued the words: “You name the time. You name the place.”

Two people close to the former UFC women’s champ recently revealed to USA TODAY Sports that she is currently finalizing the details of her move to the WWE. So, it does seem that her official appearance to the WWE ring might be sooner than many expect.

Prior to this, Rousey has been seen busy promoting her self-titled website which will be released soon. She has also been seen working out at the WWE High Performance Center located in Orlando, Florida.

Rousey Paved the Way for Women MMA Fighters

If Rousey were to transfer to the WWE, what will happen to her UFC career? While there are people think that she’ll soon be forgotten in the UFC, there are many people that refute that idea, especially after what Ronda Rousey was able to do for women fighters all over the world.

Ronda Rousey’s astonishing prowess in MMA and in the Octagon paved the way for women fighters all around the globe to be encouraged that they do have a future in this sport. After Rousey’s rise to fame came many more women fighters who knew that they had to fight at the same level or even more to be able to succeed. You could even say that Rousey persuaded Dana White to introduce women fighters into the UFC.

Ronda Rousey was and will continue to be remembered as a trailblazer in the UFC. Now, many more can look forward to her stint with the WWE.
