What Would Happen If Ronda Rousey Returns to the MMA Now?

As they say, ‘when it rains, it pours’.

As they say, ‘when it rains, it pours’. It seems that bad luck is still plaguing Ronda Rousey. After her devastating loss to Holly Holm last year, she wasn’t able to get back on the ring this 2016 as she has undergone a minor knee surgery. Though according to UFC president Dana White, the surgery was ‘nothing serious’ and just to ‘clean it out a little bit’. So if things progress sooner than expected, what do you think would happen if Rousey returns to MMA now?

Fueled by her desire for redemption, her next fight would definitely be something to watch out for as this is where we might see a whole different Rousey. Her loss to Holm is definitely a wakeup call. We can remember that she was regarded as someone unbeatable. Then came that punch that brought her back down to earth.

Rumor has it that Rousey would be back in shape in time for UFC 205, and there are speculations that a Rousey vs. Tate match is just around the corner. The rivalry between the two started way back 2011 when Rousey challenge Tate for the Bantamweight Championship. Rousey won both of their fights.

Surprisingly, contrary to what MMA experts have been whispering about Rousey, her career as an artist did not seemed to flourish after that unforgettable knockout. MMA experts believed that her juggling schedule between training and working as a movie actress has caused her that remarkable fight. Since her lost, she was rarely seen doing extra-curricular activities besides training.

Another thing to look forward to with Rousey is the possibility of seeing new moves and fighting skills inside the octagon. Rousey’s lost over Holm, an expert when it comes to boxing may seem to have been a wake-up call for Rousey and her team to up the ante and explore fighting skills and stunts away from her comfort zone – aikido. Besides boxing, many looks forward to in seeing a variation of punches and kicks from the MMA artist, refined moves that are far from her aggressive approach in her earlier fights.

But what is more exciting is a rematch between Rousey vs. Holm. A fight with no title on the line - just pride and honor is something to look forward too. Of course, the fans would love to see more action. For Rousey, it is all about having her vengeance to that one person who ‘embarrassed’ her in front of the world. For Holm, it is proving that her win was legitimate and not just a lucky strike. Who’s going to win in the fight? Do you have your guesses? Holm, as many look forward to would definitely agree to a re-match against Rousey just to prove her point.

For the Rousey fans out there, hold on to your seats as ‘ROWDY’ will be back and surely she would do it with a bang! Even with a knee injury threatening her possible explosive return in the octagon, a lot is indeed to look forward to when it comes to fighting and redemption from Ronda Rousey.
