Bill Thomas

Bill Thomas is an American winger on the Florida Panthers.

Thomas was never drafted by an NHL team, but played two years of college hockey at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. During his freshman and sophomore seasons, he scored 46 goals and 95 points in 80 games, and was signed by the Phoenix Coyotes. He played 9 games for them in 2006, scoring a goal and 3 points before the end of the year. He then spent the next two seasons in the Coyotes’ organization, playing most of the time in the AHL with the San Antonio Rampage. He was dealt to Pittsburgh in 2008, where he played 16 games. In 2009, he left the AHL to play in Switzerland at the end of the season, but returned to North America to play with Florida in 2010.
