Cody Almond
Cody Almond is a Canadian center in the Minnesota Wild organization.
Almond was drafted by the Wild in 2007, after scoring 43 points and 72 penalty minutes in his first full season in the WHL. He played two more years with the Kelowna Rockets, finishing with a 33 goal, 66 point, 105 penalty minute season in 2008-09. He jumped to the AHL in 2009, and had 18 points and 77 penalty minutes in 48 games. He was called up to the NHL for 7 games with the Wild in 2010 and scored 1 goal and 9 penalty minutes. He’ll compete for a roster spot at the 2010 training camp, but may end up spending another season in the AHL to continue developing.
