Francis Lessard
Francis Lessard is a Canadian defenseman on the Ottawa Senators.
Lessard was drafted by the Carolina Hurricanes in 1997, while playing in the QMJHL. He spent three years in the AHL before making his NHL debut with the Atlanta Thrashers in 2001. Over the next four seasons, he played 91 games for Atlanta, scoring 4 points and recording 268 penalty minutes. He signed with both the Phoenix Coyotes and New York Rangers in the last few seasons, but never played with either club. He will attempt to play in the NHL again and make the Sens’ roster at the 2010 training camp.
