P.A. Parenteau
Pierre Parenteau is a Canadian center on the New York Islanders.
Parenteau was drafted in 2001 by the Anaheim Mighty Ducks after scoring 52 points in the QMJHL. He played three more years in the Q before jumping to the AHL, and scored 118 points in 2001-02. By the time he made his NHL debut in 2006, he was in the Chicago Blackhawks’ system, and he scored his first NHL point with them. He spent three more seasons in the AHL with the Hartford Wolf Pack, and had some great seasons, including a 34 goal, 81 point season in 2007-08. He was called up to the Rangers in 2009, and scored a goal in his first game with the club. He finished with 3 goals and 8 points in 22 games, and will likely have a permanent roster spot next season.
