Tyler Eckford

Tyler Eckford is a Canadian defenseman on the New Jersey Devils.

Eckford was drafted in 2004 after scoring 37 points and 101 penalty minutes with the Surrey Eagles in the BCHL. He played three years of college hockey at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, finishing with a 31 point season in his final year. He joined the Lowell Devils in the AHL in 2008 and scored 27 points in his first season. He was called up to New Jersey for the first time in 2009, and registered 1 point in the 3 games he played. He’ll be competing for a roster spot at the 2010 training camp.
