Markus Svensson

Markus Svensson is a Swedish goalie on Malmo.

Svensson began his pro career with Oskarshamn in the Allsvenskan during the 2002-03 season. He appeared in 6 games that year, and a few more over the next two seasons, but struggled at the senior level, and was sent down to Division 1 for two seasons to further develop. In his second year with Mariestad Bois, he had a stellar 2.33 GAA in 24 starts, and was called back up to Oskarshamn. He joined Malmo in 2008-09, and was solid in net, recording a great looking 1.77 GAA and .935 save percentage over 13 games. He was named the starter for the 2009-10 season, and appeared in 45 games, posting a 2.55 GAA and .911 save percentage.
