Bjorn Burling
Bjorn Burling is a Swedish goalie on Sodertalje SK.
Burling was drafted in 2004 by the Edmonton Oilers, but has never left Europe to attempt a career in the NHL. He broke into the Elitserien with Djurgardens in 2002, posting a 2.20 GAA in 15 games. He was the team's starter the following season, but saw his playing time diminished in 2004-05. He spent the next two seasons playing in Germany, Austria and Norway before returning to the Elitserien as the starter for Sodertalje. This season, he has seen some heavy competition for the starting job with both Riku Helenius and Pontus Sjogren turning in solid seasons in backup roles.
