Roman Malek
Roman Malek is a Czech goalie on Modo Hockey. Malek spent almost his entire career playing in the Czech Extraliga, and was drafted in 2001 by the Philadelphia Flyers, after posting a 2.35 GAA and a .935 save percentage with HC Slavia Praha. He spent a season with Mettlaurg Magnitogorsk in 2004-05, and then spent the next four seasons with HC Plzen back in the Extraliga. He signed with Modo in 2009, but spent most of his first season backing up young netminder Niklas Svedberg.
Malek played for the Czech Republic at the 2003 World Championships.
