Per Hallberg
Per Hallberg is a Swedish defenseman on Modo Hockey.
Hallberg has spent his entire career in the Elitserien, and is known as one of the top all around defensemen in the league. He began his career with Modo in 1994, spending most of the season in the SuperElit with the club’s junior team. In 1996, he saw his first full time Elitserien action, scoring 6 points in 37 games. He played five more years with Modo, making the playoffs in each season. He joined Farjestads BK in 2002, where he had some of his most productive season, scoring 17 points in 2003-04 and helping the club go deep into the postseason. In 2006, he won the league championship with Farjestad. He spent the next year playing in the NLA, Switzerland’s top league. He signed with Modo in 2007, and matched his career high with 17 points in 2007-08.
Hallberg played for Sweden at the 2004, 2006 and 2007 World Championships, winning a gold medal in 2006 and a silver in 2004.
