Johan Fransson is a Swedish defenseman on Lulea HF.
Fransson was drafted in 2004 by the Dallas Stars. He has yet to make an appearance in North American hockey, and has continued to play in Sweden. He joined the Lulea system in 2001, and has spent the majority of the past decade with the club. He played his first full season in the Elitserien during 2003-04, appearing in 44 games and recording 6 points and 38 penalty minutes. In 2006-07, he split the season between Frolunda and Linkoping, as well as playing 6 games for Assat in Finland. He spent the next two seasons with Linkoping, and returned to Lulea in 2009. This season, he has shown marked improvement, scoring 13 points in his first 24 games, nearly matching his point totals from any other season.
