Jan Hlavac is a Czech winger on Linkopings HC.

Hlavac was drafted in the first round of the 1995 NHL draft by the New York Islanders, but did not enter the league until 1999, when he joined the New York Rangers. He had a solid rookie year, scoring 42 points. 2000-01 was his best season in the NHL, as he finished with 28 goals and 64 points. He bounced around the league for the next six years, however, never really finding a comfortable fit. He spent time with the Flyers, Canucks and Hurricanes before returning to the Rangers in 2003. He spent 2003-04 with New York, but returned to Europe during the lockout. He came back to the NHL in 2007 with Tampa Bay, but was traded to Nashville at the trade deadline. He signed with Linkopings for the 2008-09 season, and posted 48 points in his first Elitserien season.
