Bjorn Melin is a Swedish left winger on HV71.

Melin was drafted by the New York Islanders in 1999, but went on to play 7 seasons in the Elitserien before coming to the NHL. He joined HV71 in 1999, and spent 6 years with the club, scoring 16 goals and 35 points in 2005-06. He spent the 2004-05 season with the Malmo Redhawks. In 2006, he signed with the Anaheim Ducks, but spent most of the season in the AHL. He returned to HV71 in 2007, and won a league title in 2008. He scored a career high 39 points in 2008-09, helping the team reach the league finals again.

Melin has played for Sweden at a number of international competitions, and won a gold medal at the 2006 World Championships.
