Christian Eklund

Christian Eklund is a Swedish winger on Djurgardens IF.

Eklund has played in the Swedish professional leagues, since 1998, when he first played with Huddinge IK. Eklund played 3 seasons of junior hockey in the Djurgardens farm system, including a 36 point season in 1996-97. He spent a number of seasons in the Allsvenskan, Sweden’s 2nd highest professional league. In 2001, he made his Elitserien debut with Djurgardens, and has spent the rest of his career with the club, aside from one season he spent with the Augsburger Panthers in 2005-06. In 2007-08, Eklund set career highs with 10 goals, 21 points and 91 penalty minutes.
