Andreas Dackell

Andreas Dackell is a Swedish defenseman on Brynas IF.

Dackell has played professional hockey since 1990, when he first played for Brynas. He spent 6 seasons with the Swedish club, before being drafted in 1996 by the Ottawa Senators. Dackell’s best season prior to playing in the NHL was in ’94-95, when he scored 16 goals and 30 points. Dackell spent 5 seasons in Ottawa, recording a career-high 35 assists and 50 points in 1998-99. He was dealt to Montreal in 2001, where he played three seasons before returning to Brynas during the lockout in 2004-05. Dackell has played the last 5 seasons with Brynas, and currently serves as the team’s captain.
