Mitch Fritz
Mitch Fritz is a Canadian winger on the New York Islanders.
Fritz was never drafted, but has had an extensive career in the minor leagues. He had 204 penalty minutes with the Kelowna Rockets in 1999-00, 284 penalty minutes while playing in the ECHL in 2001-02 and 212 penalty minutes with Springfield in the AHL during the ’05-06 season. In 2008, he played with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, and earned himself his first NHL call-up in 2009, playing in 20 games and recording 42 penalty minutes. In his first NHL fight, Fritz fought and beat feared enforcer Georges Laraque.
