Garrett Stafford

Garrett Stafford is an American defenseman on the Phoenix Coyotes.

Stafford was undrafted after playing four seasons of college hockey at the University of New Hampshire. In 2003, he was signed by San Jose, but spent the next four seasons in the team’s AHL system. In 2006-07, he scored 11 goals and 41 points for the Worcester Sharks, and earned the attention of the Detroit Red Wings who signed him in 2007. He was called up for two games in 2008, but was released in the offseason. He was signed by Dallas in 2008, and played 3 games with the Stars, recording 2 assists. He spent 2009-10 in the AHL, but was signed by Phoenix and will compete for a roster spot at the 2010 training camp.
