Matt Smaby

Matt Smaby is an American defenseman on the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Smaby was drafted by the Lightning in 2003, before he played four seasons at the University of North Dakota. He joined the Lightning in 2007-08, for 14 games, but did not record a single point. In 2008-09, he saw a little more action, playing in just over 35 games.
