Michael Ryan
Michael Ryan is an American center on the Carolina Hurricanes.
Ryan was originally drafted in 1999 by the Dallas Stars with the 32nd overall pick. Ryan chose to play four years at Northeastern University before going pro. He moved up to the AHL, where he signed with the Buffalo Sabres’ AHL affiliate. He was called up to Buffalo in 2006, scoring 5 points in 19 games. He played the majority of the next season with the Sabres, and signed with Carolina near the beginning of the 2008-09 season. Ryan played only 18 games for the Hurricanes during the season but made the Canes’ roster for the postseason.
