Derek Armstrong

Derek Armstrong is a Canadian winger on the Los Angeles Kings.

Armstrong was drafted by the New York Islanders in 1992. He saw very inconsistent playing time with the Islanders from 1993 until 1997, when he was traded to Ottawa. He played only 9 games with the Senators before spending the next 3 seasons in the New York Rangers’ organization. In 2002, he signed with the Kings, and finally began to get some regular playing time. In 2006-07, he set career highs with 33 assists and 44 points.
