Franz Nielsen

Frans Nielsen is a Danish center on the New York Islander.

Nielsen was drafted by the Islanders in 2002, but played in the Elitserien for the Malmo Redhawks and Timra IK until 2006. He joined the Islanders in 2007, but played in only 31 games over his first two seasons. With the Islanders struggling in 2008-09, Nielsen has received more opportunities to develop and grow.
