Mikael Tellqvist
Mikael Tellqvist is a Swedish goalie on Dinamo Riga.
Tellqvist was drafted by Toronto in 2000, and played one more season with Djurgardens IF before coming to Toronto. He joined the Leafs in 2002, and over the course of four seasons, he played only 40 games with Toronto. He was traded to Phoenix in 2006, where he has seen more regular action. However, with the signing of Ilya Bryzgalov, Tellqvist was relegated to the backup role yet again. In 2009, he was traded to Buffalo, where he spent only one month before deciding to accept an offer from the Russian team Ak Bars Kazan. He played just 11 games with Ak Bars Kazan before jumping to the Finnish SM-Liiga with Lukko. He put up solid numbers with the club, recording a 2.34 GAA and .919 save percentage before returning to the KHL with Dinamo Riga in 2010.
Tellqvist won a gold medal with Sweden at the 2006 Winter Olympics.
