Keith Carney is an American defenseman on the Minnesota Wild.

Carney was drafted in 1988 by the Buffalo Sabres, and has played on a total of six NHL teams in his 17 year NHL career. He saw limited playing time with the Sabres after breaking into the league in 1992, and was traded to Chicago in 1993. He spent five seasons with the Blackhawks before being traded to Phoenix in 1998. Carney played three straight seasons with the Coyotes in which he played all 82 games, setting a career high with 24 points in 1999-00. In 2001, he was traded to Anaheim, where he played until 2006, when he was traded to Vancouver at the deadline. He signed with Minnesota in the following offseason, and has added veteran leadership and solid production to their defense.

Carney played for Team USA at the 1998 Winter Olympics.
