Cory Murphy

Cory Murphy is a Canadian defenseman on the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Murphy played five years of hockey in the Finnish SM-liiga, before coming to the NHL. He played with the Espoo Blues, Ilves and HIFK before signing with Florida in 2007. He played 47 games in 2007-08, finishing with 17 points. He was picked up by Tampa Bay in 2008.

Murphy won a gold medal at the 2007 World Championships with Team Canada.
