Bryan Allen
Bryan Allen is a Canadian defenseman on the Florida Panthers.
Allen was drafted in 1998 in the 1st round by the Vancouver Canucks. He was once a highly touted prospect in the Canucks organization, but suffered a number of knee injuries which set him back significantly. He played 6 games for the Canucks in 1999-00, but it was not until 2003-04 that he played a full season. He developed into a very solid defensive defenseman, filling in for a number of injured defensemen on the Canucks. He was traded to Florida in 2006, along with superstar Todd Bertuzzi. He had the best year of his career in 2006-07, finishing with 4 goals, 25 points and 112 penalty minutes, while playing in all 82 games.
Allen played for team Canada at the 1999 World Junior Championships, where he won a silver medal.
