Shaone Morrison is a Canadian defenseman on the Buffalo Sabres.

Morrison was drafted by Boston in 2001, after playing three seasons with the Kamloops Blazers of the WHL. He joined the Bruins in 2002, and played with them until 2004, when he was dealt to Washington. He played three games with the Capitals before the lockout, and joined the team as a full time defenseman after the lockout. He began to play with star defenseman Mike Green as the top defensive pairing on the Capitals. With Green operating as a heavily offensive defenseman, Morrison was given the ability to be a solid physical defenseman and create opportunities for Green and the other offensive threats on the Capitals, but was eventually worked out of the lineup with other additions to the roster. He played only 68 games for the Caps in 2009-10 and was signed by the Sabres in the 2010 offseason.
