Jamal Mayers
Jamal Mayers is a Canadian winger on the San Jose Sharks.
Mayers was drafted in 1993 by the St. Louis Blues and played there until 2008. He racked up a career high 129 penalty minutes in 2005-06, and was signed by the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2008. He spent one and a half seasons with the club, scoring just 9 goals and 160 penalty minutes. He was traded to Calgary just before the 2010 trade deadline. He finished the year with 6 points for the Flames and was allowed to walk as an unrestricted free agent in the summer. He signed with San Jose for the 2010-11 season.
Mayers won a gold medal with Team Canada at the 2007 World Championships, and participated in the 2008 tournament as well.
