Igor Mirnov
Igor Sergeyevich Mirnov is a professional ice hockey player who was born on September 19, 1984 in Chita, Russian SFSR. Mirnov is best known for being a striker for Salavat Ufa Julajew, a major club in the KHL or Kontinentalen Hockey-Liga.
Mirnov started playing professional ice hockey when he was still very young. His first club was HC Dynamo Moscow, where he was a steady player for five years. During those years, Mirnov was drafted during the 2003 NHL Entry Draft by the Ottawa Senators during the second round at the 67th position. However, Mirnov was not able to play in the NHL, instead he stayed with HC Dynamo Moscow until 2008. After his stint with HC Dynamo Moscow, Mirnov transferred to HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk but was with the team for a year only.
Mirnov then transferred to HK MVD Balashikha for another year before transferring to HC Sibir Novosibirsk for another year. By the time 2011 rolled along, Mirnov was already tapped by Salavat Ufa Julajew and Mirnov committed himself to the team.
