Andrei Taratukhin
Andrei Sergejewitsch Taratukhin is a professional ice hockey player who was born on February 22, 1983 in Omsk, Russian SFSR. Taratukhin started his professional career sometime before 2001 when he was signed by Avangard Omsk HK. Currently, however, he is a center of Salavat Ufa Julajew, a major club in the Kontinentalen Hockey-Liga or the Continental Hockey League.
Aside from being a member of one of the top clubs in KHL, Taratukhin is also known for being drafted in the NHL Entry Draft of 2001. Taratukhin was drafted during the second round in the 41st place by the Calgary Flames.
Although drafted by the Flames, Taratukhin was not able to play with the team, and in 2001, Taratukhin was signed by Moscow Kurgan, where he stayed for just one year. he then transferred back to Avangard Omsk HK, but stayed for a year before transferring to Mechel Chelyabinsk HC. After another year, Taratukhin transferred to Salavat Ufa Julajew, but stayed for a year before moving to Locomotive Yaroslavl, and then to Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights.
Taratukhin has been with salavat Ufa Julajew since 2007.
