Igor Zubov
Born on July 4, 1988, in Togliatti, Russia, Igor Zubov Is Russian ice hockey player who plays defense for his European team. Known as a solid blue liner with strong acceleration and agility, this two-way defenseman did not stand out in the rankings partly for his mediocre performance during his time at the U18 WJC, where he failed to compete with the bigger American players. He joined the Laroslav hockey team after the 2002-2003 seasons and joined the Russia 88 born national team during the 2004-2005 season and has since been a consistent member of the team. He was also expected to represent Russia at the U18 World Junior.
Zubov made his debut on the first league during the 2004-2005 seasons but spent most of the season with Lokomotiv 2. He was also eligible for the 2006 NHL Draft although he was picked up by the Canada Russia Super Series after the 2005-2006 seasons. The Russian player the most number of games during his stint with Lokomotiv 2 where he played 37 games.
