Pavel Zhitkov
Born on June 4, 1984, in Karaganda, Kazakhstan, Pavel Zhitkov is a professional ice hockey player who plays goalie for Barys Astana of the Kontinental Hockey League. He was also one of the players who played in the 2010 IIHF World Championships with the Kazakhstan Men’s national ice hockey team.
Zhitkov played his first game with Kazakhmys Karaganda-2 in Russia 3 in the 2003-2004 seasons. He was playing with the CSKA Temirtau for the next season. Other teams he played for during this time include Kazakhmys Karaganda-2. He played for this team in the 2005-2006 seasons before playing for Kazakhmis Satpaev-2 in the 2006-2007 seasons. Zhitkov played for Kazakhmys Satpaev in the 2007-2008 seasons before playing for Crystall Saratov in the 2008-2009 seasons. The Kazakh goalie started playing for Barys-2 Astana in the 2009-2010 seasons. In the 2010-2011 season, he played for Barys-2 Astana and Arlan Kokshetau. Highest number of games played was during the 2010-2011 season with Arlan Kokshetau. He has also played in 11 playoff games and currently has not made any goal points.
