Evgeny Zhdanov

Evgeny Zhdanov is a professional ice hockey player who currently plays forward for Barys Astana of the Kontinental Hockey League. Born in Kazakhstan, the 28 year old started playing in 1998 with Avangard Omsk-2 and remained with the team until 2000. He played with Kazakhstan U18 during the 2000-2001 seasons before moving to play with Mestrovic Kurgan for the 2002-2003 seasons. He then played with Metallurg Serov for the 2003-2004 seasons. He also played with Motor Barnaul in the same season.

For the 2005 season, Zhdanov was playing with Sputnik Nizhny Tagil and moved to play with Irtysh Pavlodar for the 2006-2007 season. Other teams that he played for during this season include Ariada-Akpars Volzhsk, Kazakhmys Satpaev, and Sary-Arka Karaganda. He joined Kazakhmys Satpaev for the 2007-2008 seasons before playing with Irtysh Pavlodar and Gornyak Rudny in the 2008-2009 seasons.

Zhdanov has played t 50 games with the Kazakhstan team, and a total of 19o games in the Russia-2 league. He has played for 31 games in the Russia 3 league and 5 games in the WJC-18 D1.
