Danny aus den Birken is a German ice hockey player who is currently known for being a goalkeeper of Cologne Sharks, a team in the DEL or the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. aus den Birken was born on February 15, 1985 in Dusseldorf, Germany, and he started his professional career when he signed with Jung Adler Mannheim in 2000.

aus den Birken was with the junior league team for three years before he was finally absorbed by the first team, Adler Mannheim in 2003. There, he spent six years playing with the team, at the same time he was loaned to Heilbronner Falken as well.

Fresh out of Adler Mannheim, aus den Birken signed with the Iserlohn Roosters before he was transferred to Cologne Sharks in 2010.
