Martin Hlinka
Martin Hlinka is a professional ice hockey player from Czechoslovakia. Hlinka was born on September 25, 1976 in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia, and is best known for currently being a left wing player of the Hannover Scorpions. The Scorpions is a team that is a part of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) or the German Ice Hockey league.
Hlinka started his playing career at the time he was still in college. He spent four years playing for the varsity team of Augsbur College before he joined the Quad City Mallards fresh out of school.
In 2000, Hlinka grabbed the opportunity to play for the Portland Pirates, a team that is a part of the American Hockey League (AHL). However, he had to skip out after 2 years with the Pirates after Hlinka suffered from serious injuries.
Hlinka is a part of the Hannover Scorpions team that won the 2010 German World Cup.
